She is responsible for fundraising, business development, investor relations and strategic partnerships, fostering collaborations with industry, academic institutions and international innovation ecosystems.By combining deep experience in clinical development with strategic vision and entrepreneurial leadership, Lucia drives Banyan Biotech’s corporate growth, fundraising strategy, investor relations and business development.

She holds a PhD in Pharmacology and has extensive experience across the drug development,drug discovery, preclinical research, translational science and clinical development.As Chief Scientific Officer, Alessia defines and leads Banyan Biotech’s scientific vision and R&amp;D strategy, shaping the company’s therapeutic pipeline from early discovery through clinical translation. She oversees scientific direction, research priorities and development strategies, ensuring scientific excellence and robust decision-making throughout the development process.By combining deep scientific expertise with strategic R&amp;D leadership, Alessia drives Banyan Biotech’s scientific vision and the translation of research into high-impact therapeutic programs, from discovery through clinical development.
